Kristel Peters is shoe designer with more then 15 yearsexperience in the international Fashion Industry. (fe. Dries VanNoten and Bottega Veneta).Currently, she is connected as artistic researcher to KASK /School of Arts of HoGent where she is working on theproject ‘Rethinking High Fashion Shoes’, (funded by theresearch fund arts of University College Ghent) exploringsustainable shoe design. She is particularly interested and insearch for sustainable ways of shoe making and new materialswith low/no impact with the focus on the circular economy.Her work is a combination of craftsmanship, experiments ofbio-materials and state-of-art technology.
